My-my, doesn’t time fly when you are busy? I thought seeing as I hadn’t been able to post anything for such a long time I would do a quick “catch-up” post, just to let you know what I have been up to!!
As many of you know ~ Paul, Caetlyn and myself have been involved with a theatre company called “Upstage Theatre” and are doing shows to commemorate Australia’s 100 year anniversary of involvement in World War 1.
Our first show was in Kadina, and it went down a treat with the oldies ~ I never got so many kisses, hugs, hand shakes and compliments!! There was a gentleman there who was 93 years old, who had survived the war ~ he was in the front row and so I “picked” on him all night…LOL….he loved it!! A few people were frightened of the gunfire noises, but soon settled down when they realised it wasn’t real..hehe.. We had a lot of technical difficulties at first, what with the electric piano not working and the PA system not working ~ but thanks to PAUL DANGER MCLEAN with his technical background, all was fixed and ready to go.
We are doing the shows this weekend at the Arts Centre at Port Noarlunga – the Anzac show on Saturday is going to be a very emotional show, being that it is Anzac Day itself!!
Other than that, I have passed my exam and now hold a diploma in Reflexology (as well as Herbalism and Personal Fitness Training).. I am now working on Iridology and Allergy Testing, so studies are still being done there.
I have received my Police Clearance, so now I am just waiting on my D.C.S.I. clearance before I can return to work, hopefully I will receive this in the next few days so that I can send it to my Agency, and then they can put me to work.
Gary is doing fine ~ he is getting old (14 this year) and is nearly totally deaf. He’s a bit more rickety now and sleeps a lot of the time ~ but then he will wake up and play ball like a 2 year old!! He still loves his smoothies, but I think he wonders where his watermelon juice has gone ~ he can’t understand that it is too expensive for me to buy now that it’s out of season…LOL.. But he has found a new favourite fruit ~ rockmelon (cantaloupe)… Paul still says I have broken the dog…LOL.
Health wise, Caetlyn has the flu and Paul and I are trying to fight it off. Most of the Upstage cast has some sort of virus or cold, so it’s very difficult to keep away from people with the dreaded lurgies!! I am hoping that I don’t get it and have had a wee bit of a sore throat, but have been using my herbals to keep it at bay!!
That’s about it at the moment, I will do another catch up when I can (when life gets less crazy) to keep you all informed.
Until then, stay safe, keep healthy and happy!!
